GOOHOOHAHAHAHA!!! I decided to take a brief hiatus from dub/brostep and start producing a little bit of trap and hip hop. Here is a sample from one of my new tracks https://soundcloud.com/mrlmmsguy/invincible-wip
I can't seem to mix the long 808 kick in a way that doesn't A) Make my ears feel like they want to bleed or B) Sound weak and not earth shaking and trunk-knocking.
I've tried declipping, lowering the volume of the kick and a little bit of equalizing, but I can't seem to get it to sound right.
Could I get some help please?

Yep. A tough question to answer.
The age old question: How to make a drum/kick that sounds perfectly, yet perfectly loud enough, in a music track. :P
Many Lmms users including myself, go through this problem too. :P
And to be honest, there is no clear yet perfect answer.

Gps asked a question similar to this weeks ago.

Suggestion: As a start, I would suggest, that you decide what instruments you want loud and what instruments you want softer. Then work from there. And experiment, experiment, experiment.

I'll be back. :)
