Splitting a MIDI keyboard

Hi,I'm a new entry, glad to be here.I play a keyboard connected via USB to a PC running LMMS
so far so good.My problem is these: the sound on my keyboard it is toolow on the left side and too acute on the right one so the only two octaves palying well are the central ones.
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to split my keyboard in two? Thanks anybody would help me
Is your keyboard able to run two channels, midi Channel 1 to the left side of the keyboard, then midi Channel 2 from middle C to the right? By doing this your telling the keyboard your playing two instruments but you are just playing one the piano for example. Your only changing the octave ranges of one half of the keyboard, as a set device on that channel.
If you can you can do the same in LMMS using the midi controllers.

I'am more of a musician than a technician. It's really hard for me to explain how it works.

That's how I get the split between the right side and the left in in my piano music.

Hi,I'm a new entry,
Welcome to the forum!
toolow on the left side and too acute on the right one
and this is only when you use it with lmms?
Could you please tell us:
*OS
*lmms vers
*lmms sound device chosen

I have not heard of this problem before, im afraid
You can use ZynAddSubFX to split your keyboard and use each part for a different "Part" (instrument).
