Fast & Easy Wobble

Write guides and how-tos about LMMS for other members.
Fast because it won't crack your CPU, Easy because it's a sine wave and 3 effects.

Open a 3OSC or use the default one in the Song Editor.
Decrease first and second oscillators Amplitude to 0.
(ofc you can use any other sine wave)

If you play two near notes you'll have "beats", that is one note going from opposite phase to concurrent phase.
Play it if you didn't hear it before.

Put headphones if you can't hear a sound so bass.
I suggest playing X and D on your keyboard (or D1 and D1#, or Re and Re#) ;)

Now go to FX

Add an Harmonic Generator from LADSPA.
Turn on 10th harmonic (and any else you want)

Now do the same on a second Harmonic Generator.
Lastly, to add distortion, use a "Waveshaper effect" (if you don't have the visual lmms plugin, update your LMMS)

You now have a wobble. Keep pressing D1 while changing to D1# to E1 to any other near note.
DO NOT PLAY 3 NOTES, it will make the harmonic generator mad.

You can also:
- Distort the sound a lot with the waveshaper, then add a filter with a good resonance.
- Add a pitchshifter, in particular "AM pitchshifter" and decrease the buffer to have more distortion.

When playing, remember that your are using a maximum of x100 harmonic. So any frequency you play will be multiplied by 100 in the harmonic generation process. Don't go over 200 Hz! Keep your sinewave lower than F3 :P

So now you can morph your wobble in may ways. By changing the harmonics, by using a waveshaper, or by any means you can think of.

Have fun!
or by any means you can think of.
try crs -coarse detune

:)
Nice tut!
Great tut, thanks!
Thank you :P

I'm gonna do a video about it in Italian. I'll do English subs maybe
Wow this is cool. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks!
This is the first time I'm hearing about the Harmonic Generator: Awesome!
I'm happy it came in handy :)
