No probs. :)

It's in this song where at the 0:55 mark the pad comes in. Haha I don't really know what it would be called... :P

Thanks :)
Wooah! Wait a minute. I remember making a sound like that, a few weeks back.
Let me give it a try. Hopefully I stumble upon it again. 8-)
Tutorial 20

Bass sounds

It's back to Synth 1 Vst guys. And today, we make a simple yet, cool sounding bass sound in Synth 1.
Actually, we make 2 bass sounds in Synth 1. ;)

Cool Bass sound and a Spacey dark bass sound

First off, we select a default Synth 1 soundbank.
Image

And we take off and turn off, all LFO's etc.
In other words the numbers 1 and 2 and Tempo and Key button, must all be off,
or not lit up, like in the pic shown.

Okay, now lets start.

-------------------------

1) In Osc 1, select the square symbol shape.
Image
----------------------------------

2) Mix dial = Turn the dial full left
Image

We turn the mix dial, fully to the left, because we only want to use Osc 1 and not, Osc 2. Ha! Ha! :D

---------------------------------

3) Now lets go to the Amplifier Section. :D
Image
A = 48
R = 38

---------------------------------

4) Filter Section
Image
frq = 35
res = 12
sat = 86

Vel = on
A green light means Vel is on.

----------------------------------

5) Select LP24 dudes. :D
Image

----------------------------------

6) In the Tempo Delay Section
Image

Make sure the blue letters are on the letters ST

Now turn the following dials:
fdbk = 68
d/w = 46

Okay, now make sure that:
Chorus/Flanger = On :)

----------------------------------
And that's the end of our tut.
---------------------------------

But......... ;)

7) This part is Optional. ;)
But, it's really interesting to try out.
Lets say we wanted to make this Bass sound, sound Spacey and dark cosmic sounding....

Lets go to the Det FM section.
Image
Now lets look for the FM dial.

Turn the FM dial = 47 or slighty more, if you want.
Turning the FM dial a bit, will make the Bass, sound kinda cosmic/spacey dark sounding. :o

------------------------------

What I noticed, is that this Bass sound and the Spacey dark cosmic sounding one, both seem to work better
with 1/8th notes.
So, within the C2 and C3 range in the piano roll, make some 1/8th notes.
Try and make a bass melody. Then play it and listen.
Have fun!! 8-)
Hi brandy! Could you make this lead maybe? I can't get serum atm, so I hope you can :P

Oh boy. Sorry about not responding earlier.
I was soooo busy with Christmas stuff etc. :)

Okay. That is one strange sound.
I will honestly admit, it might take a while to figure out and re-create it.
But strangely, I get the feeling, that it might be made in a similar fashion, to a Swell sound. Or so I think. :geek:
Or, it might be way easier, than I thought. :D
I'll try to see, if I could recreate it, as soon as I finish enjoying the Christmas holidays here. :D
Hopefully, I'll figure it out.

PS: In case Chill Frog is reading too, I haven't forgotten you and the others. :)
Brandy, it is essentially made just like mine in this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNDSCMp9uY4
The most important is the pr-note LFO
The rest is detuning

Ahhh. So it's just like I suspected. The LFO is behind that sound. :geek:
Gonna try and make that sound later.

That tut was very informative musikbear.
Thank you. :)

And Happy New Year to everyone. :D
Happy New year dudes.
And here's my first new tut for 2017.

Tutorial 21

How to make my.....
CAMEL TOKA BASS Vers. 2 :)

In this tut, we use the LB 302 plugin, that comes with Lmms.

1) Okay dudes, first off, drag in the Camel LB302 plugin, into Lmms.
It looks like this:
Image

------------------------------------

2) Head to the wave signs. close to the slide dial. And select the ramp wave symbol.
Image

Now lets turn the Slide dial.

Slide = 0.6

-----------------------------------

3) Find these 4 dials. They're located somewhere, in the center of the LB302 plugin.
Image

CUT= 0.34

RES= 0.84

ENV MOD = 0.1

DEC = 0.1

----------------------------------

4) Now go to the DIST. dial
Image

DIST. dial = 0.02

----------------------------------

And that's it. :D

-----------------------------------

Now press, or slightly hold any key between the C2 to C3 range.
Cool unusual sound don't you think. :D

Now open the piano roll and make some notes, between the C2 to C3 range.
Enjoy. :)
Interesting.. I might use that in my hip-hop piece.

I thought that animal was a llama. Am I wrong?

Okay, cool. :)

Yeah, it does look like a llama. :)
Maybe I should call the sound, llama toka bass instead. :D
