Newbie! Rocky | The Mandalorian

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
I was very inspired by this https://youtu.be/2blOsVSLstk. I started looking for a free DAW and ended up with LMMS. I have followed almost all of the tutorials from TJ Free. As my first project I would like to mix Rocky with the Mandalorian just like the mix. Is this possible? First step! Create baseline / beat, where to get it? Can I extract it? Importing mid's give's no baseline / beats.

First step! Create baseline / beat, where to get it? Importing mid's give's no baseline / beats.
Then You use a beat-finder,
https://www.drumbot.com/projects/tap_bpm/
where you tab on a key synchronized with the most prominent percussion instrument, normally kick in EDM, but open-highhat in other type of music.
IF both songs has the same BPM, then you are very lucky! But you propl. is not :P
Then you need to use the BPM you like the best, and to make a new version of the song with the 'wrong' BPM. For that you use a program like Audacity
Not you have 2 pieces of music with the same BPM, but are they in same Key?
Propl. not
Again use Audacity to transcribe one of the songs to the other songs key
Ehrr.. That one we also need to find..
Here you use a Scale/Key finder-tool
https://www.scales-chords.com/scalefinder.php

Bottomline, you need to know scales keys and have good rhythmic sense !
You can learn about scales & key here:
Tnx a lot!

But i'm hanging on the first step, getting the beat :)

I'm only working with audio songs on my pc, no instruments. How to get the beat? Playing it and hit any key?

you know when you are sitting and listenling to music, you almost automatically 'tabs' your foot in synch with the song?
That is the beat! Now you would 'only' have to count those foot-tabs for a minute, but that where the beat-finder steps in!
With that you only have to tab, not with your foot ..You could, but it would perhaps damage your keyboard ;D, No you use the space-bar and tabs on that, for just 10-15 secd, then the beatfinder app will calculate the BPM.
You should do it a couple of time -like 3, and if the result is the same all 3 times, then you have a solid result.
If its to difficult, then link the file here, and i will do a beat-count for you.
But lets do a test with a welknown song:

What do you get as BPM?

127 BPM
Hi to all guys! I am new here
