ting ting ting :P
Baby steps forward.

I now made it to were the singer start to sing. Sweet Child in time, you'll see the line.

Needs tweaking but the zynaddsubfx choir bank, does lovely choirs.

The aaahhh :P seems to fit nicely.

Using a midi file, to know what notes to use. I think I can improve on the midi file, because its missing syllables. :)

Very worried about this part, the screaming later on, and the guitars, but we will see.

Dude, that is sounding good.
It's amazing, how you recreated all of those sounds, to sound like the original tune.
And you even used, a different key and pitch, for your version too.
Which makes this, an almost original recreation.
Strangely, I like your version more. It has more depth and feeling to it. No joke dude.
Can't take credit for the key, took that from a midi file. :)

I am very happy you say its in a different key, I had that feeling already.

I do take credit for the spacing of the notes, because I am at a different bpm, I can't copy the notes from the midi ( and use them )

Right now I am bit stuck :(

I am not happy how the midi file does the singing, but how to do it better ?

Does anybody know a tutorial , lol, on how to emulate voices is a daw ? :P

The midi file repeats 4 notes, for:
Sweet Child In Time
You'll see the line.

I can live with 4 notes for Child in time, but to me You'll see the line part, sounds wrong.

One problem I am having here, wake me up in the middle of the night, I can sing the lyrics.
So I instantly hear, I am not doing it the same, but for now am lost on how to fix it.

The midi file does something I don't like, but its interesting.
They use pitch bending on the singing parts. I wonder if I can do a better job.

The lyrics are something we can speculate about, what does it mean?
Is it against war ?

Sweet Child in Time
You'll see the line
The line that's drawn between, good and bad.
See the blind man shooting at the world, bullets flying, hmm taking toll.
If you have been bad, Oh lord I bet you have, and you have not been hit, by flying led,
you better close youre eyes, owwwwwww bow youre head,
wait for the ricochet

( karma ? :P )
I agree. It really does sound better in a different key. I'm glad you're happy about that.

One thing I noticed about those old songs, is that they sang alot about all sorts of
real life situations and stuff.

Maybe the lyrics of the track, especially the snippet you posted, are about that
Vietnam war thing, that went on during those days?

Or maybe, it's about a parent, (probably during the vietnam war?) telling his child
the truth about life. That as he/she (the child) gets older, or as time passes, he/she
will start to understand and see the differences, between good and bad.
And the consequences that come with ones actions. Especially the bad actions.
Maybe the karma part as you pointed out, might be the actions of another person
that might unintentionally, or intentionally, affect the child later on in life.
Or bad actions from the child, or someone else, or probably from both parties
coming back, or ricocheting, to haunt the child, later on in life.

Wow! The lyrics of this track, has me wondering. :P
Lol! :D
A friend of mine always says, you need to use the same drugs, as them to understand the lyrics from those days. :P

A whiter shade of pale is good example of weird lyrics.

We skipped the light fandango, turned cartwheel across the floor.
I was feeling kind of sea sick, the crowd called out for more.
The room was humming harder, as the ceiling flew away.
When we called out for another drink, the waiter brought a tray

And so it was, that later, as the miller told his tale.
That her face at firstly, just ghostly, turned a whiter shade of pale.

I have given up on trying to understand it. At least the Child in time lyrics , make some sense.

Wow! Those lyrics you posted, really do sound, like it's a rum shop
drinking mans song. :P

Your friend might be right though. I remember, in a documentary
they said that many 70's singers and artists, made hit music, while
under the heavy influence of rum, alcoholic beverages and puffy smokeys. :P
And that would often, put them in a state of trance. Lol! :P

It could also kinda explain, why most of them, ended up bankrupt too. :P
Yeah not always an healthy life style. :)

But some great songs were made.
Yeah I agree.
And some of those songs, became legendary. 8-)
I might stop with my child in time cover.

The singing part is causing too much problems. That was not unexpected though.

I have seen example were they imitate the singing, but to me it feels like killing a classic.

at 0.53 the "singing" starts

On the bright side I have a new headset. I might attempt to record my self for some sample.

Like Bass and How low can you go :P or House! , screams like that.

My favourite brand, for me there is no other brand for headphones and headsets.
Maybe one day when I have a job again, on my list is a sennheiser studio headphone.

I am a fan of this brand of course because of the sound, but also that they are almost indestructible.
Also ordered a pair of new earpads. That is usual the first part to go after a year or 3.
