What is this "Best of LMMS" thing I keep reading about?

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
Is it a competition? When is it? How do I join/enter?

I've only been composing for two years, but I think I may be able to pull something together decent enough to make it onto there. I'm very serious about my music composing, and it isn't just a hobby anymore. I think that would be a fantastic milestone for me to achieve.
It's an annual competition which we started 4 years ago, that brings ~25 best songs made in LMMS every year to bandcamp to be released as an album. The proceedings from the album get donated back to LMMS.

You're late for this year's BoL (the deadline ended on april 16th), but you can read all about it here: https://lmms.io/competitions/

If you want to listen to the albums, you can find them here: https://lmmsartists.bandcamp.com/

Don't worry about missing this years competition. :)
You have from now, until sometime next year, to prepare a tune or two
for the next BoL competition.
So take your time and use this whole year to practice.
The good thing is, by then, you will be making lots of great songs and have a couple of tunes ready, for the next competition. :)
Thank you, that's good to know. I have a lot of trouble with song structure and instrument choice, but other than that I'd say I'm pretty decent. A year would be a fantastic length of time to practice.

I know I'm going to make it on there eventually, given the fact that I've been planning on making music for Monstercat (http://www.monstercat.com) using LMMS for about two and a half years now, and I have few reasons to stop now. ;)
