Im not a linux wizard, but how exactly did you try to load the compressor?
Effects like all LADSPA amo, can only be inserted on the FX-tab of instruments, or FX-option in FX-mixer.
eg:
https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=Wo ... PA_effects

Is that how you did it?
Hi thank you for your reply.
so in FX-Mixer i press "Add effect" and I scroll the list but couldn't find "LADSPA calf compressor"
If you compiled from source you should be fine.

If you are running a version of lmms packaged by someone else, the package might have been built without calf support intentionally thinking that it was redundant with the calf already on the system. This is something you'd have to take up with the packager.

Calf seems to be going in the direction of LADSPA v2 (e.g. LV2) and if LADSPA v1 support was removed from the Calf packages, that could explain it.

In regards to "/usr/lib64/ladspa", LMMS should be looking there since version 1.0.3. Searching in that location was added to LMMS with this commit: https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/commit/6a5 ... 801e8d75f7
So you say , I will not be able to use all those nice calf stuff by installing lmms with "dnf"?
I have to remove it and compile to install it ?
I will try but if so it is a little bit not nice and intuitive.
Ok I compile and install again and it is working , I have all calf nice stuff.
but now all ZynAddSubFx instrument cannot play, i have a '?' before all instrument. looks like lmms doesn't know how to open xiz file?

Think you should open a new topic for that, and include linux in the header, that way you will get the linux wizards attention
Copy that
