Newbie here! Looking for rock tutorials

Questions about producing? Ask them here.
Hi everybody!
My name is Leonardo and I am new here.
Former musician, I now work with web marketing and audio/photo/video editing: I don't have time to keep playing instruments...well, I don't even have the desire to go back to that rock-band-era of my life.
So, I got to know LMMS and I understood it gives you tons of possibilities.
Already messed up with some riffs and melodies (music theory and pentagrams are not a problem), but still very hard to find tutorials/guides about rock. It's mostly everything about techno.
Even chords sound very weird with the "slightly distorted guitar", so I think I am missing something important.
I don't have specific questions, I only kindly ask for suggestions about somewhere to find tutorials/guides about rock.
Thank you guys!

Hi everybody!
Hi, Welcome to the forum Leonardo! Here are all our important links:

Absolutely true! Rock is somewhat neglected, but you can find some presets for rock instruments on the LSP (my guitars f.i. :)
The reason there is no rock-tutorials are properly partly because rock has lost popularity, but mostly because rock is really hard to make on a DAW!
The reason is that DAWs is excellent for electronica, but not all that good for the types of instruments we have in rock.
I have 'dabbled' a bit with rock, among many other genres, other than techno/ electronica.
Here is an attempt: https://soundcloud.com/musikbear/rockpatn
I will gladly answer any questions if you think i have made 'rock' :0)
Take a look at the LSP:

- Metal Projects: https://lmms.io/lsp/?action=browse&cate ... &sort=date

- Rock projects: https://lmms.io/lsp/?action=browse&cate ... &sort=date

- Projects of Super66: https://lmms.io/lsp/?action=browse&user=supper66

There is a bit of everything, and it is a good way to learn something.
Thank you all and sorry for the late reply: I am on holiday and have some few problems with wifi...
Anyway, I am glad to hear amazing examples of rock compositions! I would like to make something Pink Floydish, so the huge amount of instruments and effects is really welcome.
I am probably going to ask for explanations about LMMS functions in the near future, so hear you soon!
