Hey guys,
so I found an old post on the forums and the users discussed how to play with drumpads in LMMS. So one of them talked about a VST named "Shortcircuit".
I downloaded it and I noticed - it works just fine!

Shortcircuit is a sampler - you can add your own samples to different notes. Since LMMS handles drumpads like a keyboard you can play easily drumpads in LMMS with this VST!

Shortcircuit was focused in the post where Slipstick amo tried to find a sampler that would work with lmms.
Real sampler ability? Well we could not make it..

In the post Slipstick also tells how to actually load samples, because that is 'weird'.
Personally, i expect more of a sampler, but for the purpose you discuss here, eg drumpads specifically -Yes, that it may be able to emulate, but sampler - no
