Sruti-Indian Music

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
I am entirely new to the field and am on the way to conposing a song.I am an Indian and I want to make Indian music.I downloaded DSK Indian Dreamz for getting Indian Instruments. The problem I am facing here is:
In Indian music, the singer can start of with his/her initial sa in his/her comfortable pitch(Sruti). But in the software,a piano roll is provided and it has predefined pitches fir each note.I want to play some instruments like the violin based on a partical sruti. How can I do this?
I have very little knowledge in Western music and so,pls.try to reply without using Western music terms.

Also,I want to know how to play the Tanpura provided in DSKIndianDreamz in the conventional manner,pa sa sa sa :ugeek:
You're welcome!

Unfortunately, LMMS does not allow to get rid of the equal temperament scale.

Perhaps other Indian users have been able to develop a satisfactory method in LMMS (?).

About DSK Indian Dreamz, I don't know.
Try checking out Zynaddsubfxs microtuning features they might lead somewhere. http://xen-arts.net/zynaddsubfx-microtu ... s-updated/

All default instrument has a PITCH dial:

you can change this setting both manually, and you can automate the dial.
You may also like to have a discrete envelope, fi. for sitar or melodic drums. You can create that in Synth1:

Shows you how to do that.
None of lmms factory instruments can do that.
