Im afraid lmms cant record sound. You need to use a program like Audacity for that. You can import wave and ogg-forbis to lmms' Sample-track

You do not need to allocate space. if you refer to disk-space, lmms will take care of that. If you refer to 'space' in song-editor, you will see the actual spectrum of the imported sound-file, directly in song-editor, and you can freely move all blocks in the editor
Actually,I have to record vocals into the karoke track. So,I want the beats to be playing while I record the vocals.Since I have to export the track to some software like audacity,I have to leave blank space(but with the beats playing & may be some instruments) in between the karoke track for the vocals. How can I do this?
There's nothing stopping you from playing the beats and instruments in LMMS at the same time as you record the vocals into Audacity. Then when you have saved the vocal from Audacity you can import it into LMMS on a new track to do the final mix.

How can I mix the vocals into LMMS after recording with Audacity?
Save from Audacity as a .wav. Then import that .wav file into an LMMS Sample Track. See https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=Wo ... th_Samples

Add any effects you want to that track. Add other instruments on their own tracks. Mix.
