I had a look around for tutorials specific for games music design, and couldn't find any. Are there any doing the rounds?

tutorials specific for games music design
Non afaik, but what is it you think is special in regards to game-music? There are a few things i can bring
In general -Depending on genre, ofcause
* The music should follow your game-play
Dont use hard-metal when your player-character explore or searches :')

* Music should never become dominant
The gp is king, you cant improve gp with either fancy graphics or music.
Music should never overwhelm the gp! Chock-effects are bursted with effects.

* Music is suspend building
Use music to increase danger/ suspense, but most important fake it! Your pc is about to open a door.. the music builds up.. he opens! Crescendo in music, and then ..nothing
Room empty. Reeeeelax... THEN the monster drops from the ceiling!

So game music is not any different from movie-scores. Study movies in the genre your game aims at, and understand the way the movies uses music, then you are where you need to be.

game music design process. So feel free, to read his post above. :)


Okay, concerning your question:

What type of game music design tutorials, are you looking for?

Were you looking for tuts, on how to make game sounds and effects?

Or, were you looking for game music tuts, that teach how to compose/make
an entire game track?

We need more info. :)
