How to mute an instrument in a certain point.

Is there an effect to mute a certain part? I want to get the whole song muted for like half a second, and hopefully without making all the instruments again with the muted part (is more than one).

Anyone knows how can I do it? Say like the second 3 to the second 3.5 nothing sounds

Yes doable, but someway your structure is flawed!
You can simply automate the master-volume, either in mixer, or in main-componnt, both will work.
