What's new in latest version?

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
I see there is a new version posted but I cannot find any narrative that says what's in the new version.

new version -what's new.
1.2.0 has almost 50 new features, and a lot of improvements. On top of that, it is much more stable, especially with VSTs, witch also is extensively improved. I would say that ~ 95% of all VSTs Instruments, can now be used with LMMS in windows and Linux.
Bottom-line Upgrade !

*If you have made anything ...Back-up your own stuff
*Un-install current installation
*(re)move the config dot-file
https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=LM ... h_Settings
*download a fresh new installation-pack either x32 or x64 of
LMMS 1.2.0
32 Bit:

64 Bit:
https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/releases/d ... -win64.exe
*re-install as administrator and grant all users access
Linux-users need the AppImage on the Linux-tab!
This is however only available as x64
Linux: In Edit| Settings| Misc -Disable'Sync VST plugins to host playback'!!!

First, welcome WhiteBeard. I'm not on the forum much, but I do check in every once in a while...

Musikbear, *un-install current installation? What happens if you don't? (I didn't and it seems to be working fine)...

You get 'clutter' on your registration-DB. Its like you have some 'paths' descriptions, but they lead no-where. In the end, you have a messy REGDB, but there are tools that can re-establish what they call the 'integrity of the REGDB'
Bottomline: always clean the slate, before you draw a new picture :)
I said B U T
A L W A Y S Make security backups of own stuff!!! -Before you un-install
That is true for ALL software!
