my biggest problem is music theory
Very simple
1) Choose a key -That is just a note, like 'a'
2) Choose a scale -That is a set of notes that goes great together, and very easy done in LMMS

So lets set the scale aMinor also known as Am

Open Piano-roll
From the scale-dropdown select "Minor"
Point at semitone a in the piano-roll keyboard
right-click
Select Mark-this-scale
The result is that all notes that belongs to the aM scale are highlighted!
when you compose in Am then you ONLY use highlighted notes

As easy as pie

When I started , people asked if I was tone deaf.

I just refused to give up, and kept trying, and now that problem is gone.
I trained my ears and brain.

I also have been studying allot of music producing vids with any DAW, and video's about music theory.

Some can be boring, but it has helped me to make allot of progress.

Here is a vid, he uses Fruity loops but that does not matter for what he shows.
I thinks its a nice addition to the link, Musicbear posted, but Musicbear has more great vids, which helped me allot.

that's not enough, I do the melody on the scale but it sounds boring and senseless you should make a tutorial explaining it better

I cant teach you something i cant do my self :P
If i knew how to compose catchy popular songs, i would be answering your post from my own private island, in the caribics -Trust me -i am not
Improving yourself comes from
  • Listening to songs you love and understanding them as compositions
  • Artistic talent
I cant make tutorials for that
