Vst plugins no longer work

I downloaded the new 1.2.1 version and hour ago and now all of my plugins dont work right, some load then go blank other load and just play no sound. I then decided to go back to the old version i was using and it still does the same, I'm kind of worried that I have to reinstall everything cuz it took awhile getting all of that and quiet honestly i dont want to have to reinstall everything again. If anyone could tell me what's going on or how I could fix this that would be greatly appreciated

You have not upgraded the correct way:

What you could try now is to ( re)move the config dot-file! -As described in link.
After that open LMMS
Now go through each of the path in Edit| Settings| Directories
Make sure every one is consistent with the folderstructure in your real installation!
The save the new Settings
That will create a new dot-Config-file, and you should be good to go!
