how to make a video for youre music

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
Well I have allot to investigate.

One problem with these programs always returns. How much time are you are willing to spend on rendering.

Will increasing the length of the corridor increase the render time? ( it will speed up the camera )

Should I just add another path to have the camera return through the corridor.

What can I get away with, without getting not funny render times.

Talking about half life, Been wondering if I should put something in front of the camera to give the ilusion of you being in some kind of cart, train, what ever.

The basics of how I would cast that shadow, of a walking person, I think I understand.
That gonna be allot of work though, if you want the shadows to change.
Then you will have to make doll and animated his body too. Blender can do it........
Could maybe get away though with just a rough body shape.

There is also a better render method in Blender. but as you probably have guessed already, at the penalty of render time.
Seen pics of just a static image , that took over 8 - 12 hours to render.
Pics were you have to look twice to see its computer generated.

Also went back to my music track, added more kicks, and tried some more mixing,
I was not totally happy before, but had already spend so much time on it, I was fed up.
This Blender break, makes me wanna try again. (basically want a bit more warmer sound)

When I started LMMS today I checked the version and I do have the latest version. :)
( On Linux use the appimage version or talk to your package manager about any issues wit LMMS )

Still have to try the appimage version of 1.2.2.
One way to cheat , I can probably set the animation to full screen and then record with a screen recorder.

Won't looks as good as a render though, but only takes the time of the music track to record. :P
Well, LMMS does not yet support audio recording directly as it is meant to be a piece of music composing prog, rather than a real DAW. So if you want to record, the best method really is to use external software, such as Audacity.
What has that got to do with this topic ? :?

You are correct, that lmms cant record sound, but Gps are in Blender, using a rendered file from LMMS.
But nwm that, i actually only chimed in here because you are new :) -So

That is some great Blender skills you got there Gps. Nice.
See no problem in the issue. Today it is possible even with a simple smartphone. I guess there is almost no need in expensive video studios to make music vids for beginners. There are a lot of vids on youtube with just a picture and no animation. Still such vids can hit millions of views. If you need some special functionality you can easily use online video cutter for that purpose.

I asked a question like this on another forum, and the answer I got was blender.

You can do relative simple stuff in blender were you have a picture as the background and a spectrum analyser in the foreground.

But we can do stuff like this too:

You could even make a real movie but that is gonna take allot of time.

Just wanted to share this info with you guys, I am learning blender. Mostly watching tutorial and then try to do the same.
It does help I have some experience with 3D cad, but it also makes it harder.
Blender works quite different from 3D cad programs.
Does it includes postproduction?
