A Place for Beginners...

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
Hey everyone, I'm new to this reddit, and I was thinking of getting back into some music production. I used to use GarageBand on an iPad (which doesn't really classify as a DAW, but hey, I digress), and I exposed myself to FL on an old PC, but now that I have something much more modern, I wanna give it a whirl again. I want to make some lofi hip hop / chillhop beats. Where would you guys go for tutorials or samples, or are there any forums or other places where you go for the essentials. Any and all help would be appreciated!

There are a LOT of tutorials on youTube
Mine is just one option :p
Rookie-Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcUCFfQ3wn8
Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIfZfd ... vp6C8XAJUw
But if you search youTube for 'LMMS' you will find... 1000ths and more

The LMMS-community has a sharing platform, where you also can find samples

But again the net is FULL of samples -beware of vira!

Bunch of good tutorials on youtube. I don't like to use samples even for hiphop. There are a lot of live instrument libraries. Usually, I make 16 bar loop of those, then bounce it, and then sound design maximum out of it. After I'd add drums, a lot of types of saturation, bpm automations, little glitches etc.
