Legality of SGM SoundFont???

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
Hello. I found a nice package of sound fonts on newgrounds. One of them is called SGM-V2. It's my favorite sf2 to use. But I heard about a lot of soundfonts I wanted to use being illegal. Is THIS one illegal as well? It's just a bunch of basic sounding instruments, Saws, Percussion, etc.
Should be legal to use, but the original source doesn't seem to mention copyrighting. I myself use the SGM soundfont you're talking about. Trying to reach out to the creator, but the original site is dead and the email isn't registered under an existing domain.
It shouldn't be a problem if you do use it for commercial creations, given you are simply using the samples with your own creativity, and the soundfont's source doesn't even exist anymore.
In other words: probably not illegal. If it isn't officially legal either (unspecified) then you will be fine anyways.

Monospace explain this brilliantly, normally there are no issues using licence-less software, using as in for derivative work! The problems starts if you redistribute that software, and ofcause especially if you sell the software!
That is serious illegal!
