Can I Use LMMS for commercial purposes??

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
Yes or not? thanks.
If you mean making music in LMMS and using the music for commercial purposes, yes, you can do it.
However, sometimes you may use sample libraries like soundfonts etc in your music that have a separate license, so you may want to keep that in mind and consider their license whenever making a commercial audio product.

Monospace covers this very well, but i want to link you to the License page, where you will find the legal explanation in respect to the LMMS License.

Hi. I'm now working on a commercial project and I want to use LMMS as the synthesizer. I see the GNU license you linked to. I just wanted to verify that all those synths and instruments that come free with LMMS, which I can access using my presets, do not have any extra license. Or do I need to check some license for each of the synths that are included? Maybe someday I will make some instruments myself, but for now I want to use the presets that come with LMMS.

Thank you.

Don't worry. I believe the presets should probably be alright. The included synthesizers' presets can be used for commercial music.
Thanks for the replies. I think my question was badly worded. I should have asked if all the presets included with LMMS when I install the program are OK to use commercially. Just curious if anyone claims rights to these particular presets. I like to be careful about such matters. Common sense tells me that since they are included in the distribution and there is nothing attached about a license for the preset sounds, they are OK to use. :)
