Import midi

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
Ok i searched for this in the forum, got a message midi was too common a word and ignored.
Now then, I have imported a midi file from MuseScore into LMMS great it worked, I can change the instrument, in the sf2 player.
Now here is the problem do I need to write a separate drum part and import it separately? As imported only the sf2 player shows no beat/bassline data, but the drum part plays as a piano with the sf2player?
What do I need do to prep the mid file for import?
after you have identified the track that has the drums, you simply insert either a general-user-SF (best) and choose patch 128 /standard or (in case you do not have that sf) you use the zynAddSubFX instrument in the factory files named 'drums' 0001-drums-kit1, from the folder Drums.
The last option is not brilliant, but it will 'work' ..kind of.. :/
- so best solution: find a royaltee-free general-user-soundfont, and make sure its without vira, and use that

Can someone help me import these midi files?

Import problems[1]:
  • Track 1: Select instrument 31 instead of 35
  • Track 2: Select instrument 30 instead of 35
  • Track 5 (channel 10): Select instrument 0 instead of percussion
Import problems[2]:
  • BassDrum (channel 10): Select instrument 0 instead of percussion
  • Snare (channel 10): Track not imported
  • HighHats (channel 10): Track not imported

wrote you a long answer, but it was lost in posting :/
so short version:
is your basenote
http://lmms.sourceforge.net/wiki/index. ... #Base_note
A4?
if not, that would explain your problems

otherwise
if you want to use other instruments in the sf2, you have to manually move the notes to correct instrument-pos in the piano-roll
