Hello, everyone!
I am Fladmay, and I have been using LMMS for 5 months now, and I think I am at the intermediate level. I recently registered on this forum, both to help but also to learn new things. I've been a musician for about ten years, but I've been in MAO for a year now. Music is my greatest passion, and I compose electro-oriented music. I hope to be able to get involved in this very friendly community and make LMMS grow.
Here's a thank you to all of you.

Hello from the northwest tip of Mississippi, where I can throw a rock and it would land on Elvis's mansion.

Hi ho, 4-week user here, but Linux fanatic for a couple of decades now (I'm mid-50's).
Live on a tropical island 4 jet-hours on the OTHER side of Hawaii, just across the dateline. It's a U.S. missile range. They shoot AT us, and we watch 'em fall down. I'm the computer nerd for the weather station here. Y'know, like the first place the monster destroys in the movies.

The thing is: I NEVER thought I could ever create music! But I know someone who does, and I was trying to get them interested in LMMS, but sadly, they're an Apple fan (artists... sheesh) so they're not buying what I'm selling. Nonetheless, it looked like a super-sophisticated program, and it was free, and Linux, so I had to try it.

Now it's like my main hobby. Took a few days to get the hang of it (copy/paste doesn't work like I'd have thought it would...) but easy enough once I figured out that the Piano-Roll and Song-editor have vastly different methods for doing stuff.

Anyway, I've put a couple of tracks up in the sharing section - all with the default LMMS instruments - so you can listen if you want. My very first song, I was trying to re-create the Vikings opening theme song... which I didn't quite... but it's close enough that I'm afraid to upload it for fear of copyright violation. After that I went all Original - surprised that I could even do so. 'S been quite a ride.

I know NOTHING about music! Well, I mean, I'm learning NOW, but yeah, 3 weeks ago: NOTHING!

Thats very interesting, i see your user name, 'Failte200', and from that i am assuming from that you have Irish heritage?, possibly even from Ireland?, turns out you are very close to being on exactly the other side of the planet from me!

I had a look at some of the islands on Google earth the other side of Hawaii, the Johnston atoll looks like one erie place, only the size enough to accommodate an airstrip but looks like there were many buildings on it at one point that are now overgrown.
