This guy has a few tricks he's taken out of his sleeve for us
.. removed at the moment
(drum samples, and a few vsts)
This is a nice find mrlmmsguy.
And it looks awesome.
Personally, I like the graphical interface.
It has a futuristic punk look to it.

I'm going to check this out later and see what I can come up with. 8-)
These nice fellows have a nice selection of sound libraries, and I got a few with NO REGISTRATION. YAY!!!

fyi: kairatune does not do well with lmms. No settings are preserved

Yeah, it freezed the project that I had used it in. Every time I tried to open it, it would load 75%ish, then stop
but maybe that's just my computer. Shout if it works folks. Please?
mrlmmsguy wrote:Has anyone else gotten a Vst, Sounfont, or sample pack for free, then discovered that in the license there will
be "occasional distortion after ten minutes", or, "register to get a license", or "Pay for bandwith costs"
or "don't you dare use without crediting us or our ninja squad will pull your toenails out"? How annoying.
I thought I'd start a thread on sites that ACTUALLY give you free, easy, to use music making stuff
Here are my recommendations:
http://www.ghosthack.de/ Occasionally gives out free dubstep drums, loops and bass presets
http://www.musicradar.com/ Has over 50,000 free samples and loops, with no registration.
50,000!!!!!!
http://www.sonniss.com/gameaudiogdc2016/ In commemoration of the Game Developers Conferene, these nice blokes released a royalty free sound FX library. This year's has 16 gigabytes of various sounds
http://www.vst4free.com A VST database. ALL FOR FREE. and with no registration.
Hopefully you all can post some good finds too, but
PLEASE, no cracks, pirated samples or illegally reproduced software. Life is too short for jail time
I rarely use, external soundfiles, it just gets too complicated and i do not want to get sued or go to jail, so i just don't bother, plus with lmms, you should be able to recreate your "own" sounds with enough experience and helpful people on the forum for guidance and advice.

There is a reason they are called "royalty free", sir. If you take the time to read the licenses that come with this stuff you can have the legal terms laid out before you perfectly clearly. Royalty free essentially means you can use the stuff for whatever the heck you want. If they request attribution, you attribute them, if they ask you don't distribute, you don't distribute them.
The ones I recommend are all free to be used in commercial and noncommercial projects.
This site has a wealth of various free things, with differing licenses and conditions mind you, but I think it's cool

I use kairatune all the time when making my songs. It's the fastest vst for me.
