Is there any FREE 16-bit (SNES-like) instruments around?

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!

Yep. That's the old school way of doing it. 8-)
vico wrote:Any good tutorials for LMMS built-in plugins? I really want to understand how make a good mix out of it, but i dont know much of its functions. (sfxr, Nescaline and Freeboy - if legal, i assume - , Viber, Kicker and etc)
If possible, I will try my best and make one. :)
Also, to help get you started, check this Lmms wiki article for SFXR

Also, I'm curious.
Is there a particular sound, that you were trying to make? :)

I'm working on a RPG Maker project and i want a collection of instruments which sound like Chrono Trigger/Mana/FF6 instruments.

Differently from 8-bit instruments which are just square waves, i think SNES-like instruments are a "degraded" version of real instruments. IDK if someone made a free low-quality soundfont which can "imitate" the SNES JRPG "hear and feel".

Okay. I understand now.

Chrono Trigger/Mana/FF6 instrument sounds. Interesting.
I shall do some research, on those type of sounds tomorrow morning, since it's midnight here in the Tropics. 8-)
And I'll try my best and see if I could somehow, emulate some of them, using some of Lmms' built in plugins.
No promises. :)

Nice to see another game designer, on the Lmms Forums.
I'm learning Unity game engine. :)
If you need any guide, you can hear the "obscure" soundfont samples here: http://www.williamkage.com/snes_soundfonts/

Of course i dont want something identical, but just instruments which "hear-like" these games.

Okay. I shall listen to them. :geek:
