Kaze_Senshi's Musics and Projects

Share and discuss your LMMS music projects here, and see what people think!
This will be the topic where I'll post my new projects, mainly uploaded on youtube. I am focused to compose songs for games but I want to play with some classical songs too. Feel free to give feedback about anything from these projects, including the visual presentation.

Thanks for the attention :mrgreen:
Overall, nice piece and fine harmonie. the first fast part is a little 'messy' 2. part is best
The arp is beatyfull
all the slower passages is really nice
The piano -good!

1 you should work on
percussion sf is quite inferior.
try zasfx -a lot of good preset is included
Your glocken-spiel is emminent -btw

2 think thats fine -good job, you could work on stereo spread and more 'ambience' perhaps?

3 Nice! what program did you use for that?
When your doing your drums with a keyboard, you need to use key velocities. It makes a huge difference.

You can hear it in the toms in this.

Thanks for the feedbacks guys :)

1. That "zasfx -a" seems to be a Linux command, how do I simulate this command in Windows?
2. I need to study more about how the stereo spread is applied in compositions :P
3. I used a custom Unity3D game that I created and did the video edition using Blender.

Cool drums, do you edit each key velocity by hand or do you have a specific plugin for that?
It's very musical! Feels like a movie soundtrack.

One thing I lac is a definite bouncing between kick drum and snare drum. I mostly hear only snare, while half of the hits could be passed to the kick, making the rhythm feel bouncing up and down (kick is low, snare is high, I usually start with kick, as it feels natural emphasis to the downbeat).

I see you're as crazy about the soundfonts as I am for ZynAddSubFX :D (proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aoCCZo8Urfc )
Title: "Perpetual Deathbed"? Terrible title. Your key and tempo certainly don't convey it. If you want a depressing song title, try a minor key variation and slow down the tempo.
Presentation: The little bouncing rocket is annoying and again, adds nothing to your composition.

Compostion: As for the composition itself, you've got a good start. Technically,I can't add anything that others haven't already pointed out. It's easy enough on the ear and one can tell you've used some decent music theory. Keep working at it and you'll do fine.

Cheers.
Nice song. I like the piano.

However, I'm very interested in how you recorded the spectrum analyzer in Unity 3D. I haven't used Unity but I'm willing to learn if I can make cool videos like that.

No plugin, just open the midi tab in what ever instrument in this case metallic toms, and set the key velocity to 127. then however hard you hit the key it will give you the increased, or decreased volume.
Thanks again for the feedbacks and answers :)

I tried to use some free VSTi plugins but their quality aren't too much different from SF2 but they spent a lot more of CPU power so I am starting to drop them. In the other hand ZynAddSubFX is cool but i am only used to use the Pads and Bass presets because they sound pretty cool.

Hmmm I was thinking more about giving a feeling of struggling and power than a depressive feeling to be used as a boss fight theme. And I always have problem to choose song names :P

You can do videos like that for free, I only used free softwares to do that. LMMS, Unity3D free version and Blender. I did something like that:

1- Compose the song;
2- Render the song in a FLAC format;
3- Record the song being played on LMMS;
4- Record the song being played on Unity3D;
5- Throw both videos to Blender video editor, remove their sound and use the FLAC song as the background;
6- Post it on Youtube.

Just be sure to use a recorder that doesn't desync the audio like Open Broadcaster Software and record both videos using the same FPS rate.

Any commentary is welcome, it can be about new free instruments suggestions (since I am only using Soundfonts), music theory, mixing and mastering or even about the presentation since I am trying to create something different instead of just a picture and the background music.
Hey guys, I'll use this post to post all projects mine from now. The quote is about the first song that I posted here some months ago.

Now I did a remix from that song called FLOWER from DJ YOSHITAKA, pretty famous because of that YEE meme :P

You can find more details in the video description, feel free to give any feedback about it:
