Yop!

Felt lazy this afternoon....a quick one, based on an improvisation on the keybord

Have you ever tried to sing on your tracks ? It could be fun.
Fun? I wouldn't use this word. Believe me, no one deserves to hear me sing.

There was a time when I sang while playing the guitar, people let me do it, and I stopped when I started to be ashamed of my voice and the words I was writing ...
That's when you just put massive effects on your voice :D :D

Ha ha, I never heard myself singing from outside myself (I never recorded my guitar/voice performances), but I suppose I would have put full effects to hide misery ...
It has a nice, reggae sounding style to it. :)
Especially in the bass melody.
And the synth melody in this, sounds undescribably cool.

This tune got style. 8-)

The same 2 notes all along the track for the bass....and for the synth, 6 notes (root, third and fifth of C major and D minor)
That's why I called the tune "in the mood for laziness" :)
And as Brandy said :

To my ear, the most notable change, compared to what you have already presented is the presence of this ethereal "violin", these long notes, I think it brings binder.

The track is more in a trip hop mood than in a roots reggae/dub mood.

When I don't listen to dub records, I like bands like Moby, Portishead, Overphonic, Nightmare on Wax, Gramatik, Bonobo, Tallisker, Fakear, and many others....They often have great female voices.

Talking about great female voices, the voice of Margo Timmins is driving me mad each time I hear her:
