New part of the track - with some exotic percussion instr.

Hi,
So, on the basis on this project I made something new :)
https://soundcloud.com/ppndp/mrrey22_part1
I have problems with making those 'exciting' choruses. Usually, I stuck always with some one idea for chords and I don't know where to move with it...
First time I use channel rack and put some reverb on percussive instruments. I don't have any sense what kind of effects I could also use to make this music more interesting without overloading it with too much instruments.
I wish to add some more to percussion maybe?
Any recommendation on effect you are using on percussion?
What effects is good to use in automation?
I tried filter but I need to experiment more with it to get the intended effect.
Also, this track is not finished - it lacks structure in the end.
Any feedback on this is very welcome!
It works well with the previous one (https://lmms.io/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5 ... 6&start=10).
This one seems to me more accomplished than the previous one.

I find this one both enigmatic and relaxing.

I really like the drums section.
Yop,

Nice mood, cool and jazzy. About the structure: the tune is a bit linear, I expected some kind of crescendo(s), break(s), even solo(s) to stay in the jazzy corner.

Effect on the percussions: reverb, you got it, but you can use reverb on a single channel or on all the percussion channels in the same time.
Think about delay and phaser, you can also work on the stereo, and use automation to modify the equalisation.

This being said, nice tune.
I agree. Very cool and relaxing tune, you made here. 8-)
The whole feel of it, is so calm, yet undescribeable, for me to put in words. :)
Nicely done, you might consider throwing some LADSPA effects to the mix.. the c* effects would be nice addition, try saturation or noisegate perhaps?

Thanks! I will try with filters to improve it - it is a very advanced knowledge for me now though :)
The tempo is 80 BPM and I experimented with making some chill-out beats.

Thanks! I am learning effects. Saturation and noisegate - I will add it to my list!
It's only my third month with LMMS! Since then I only used the LADSPA reverb on the sidestick, claves and kick - it gives it nice distant sound. But it also makes the beat more loud despite that I gave them almost the minimum level of volume (maybe 10%).
It's really hard to master the art of using even 1 effect!

Thank you!
Maybe I should add some waterfall and birds to make it more relaxing?
Or whispers. Whispers fit everywhere for me :D

The TripleOscillator (all synths actually) allows you to synthesize beautiful bird songs https://soundcloud.com/dipsum/0121-03-1-wip :D

that's interesting. So you have made those bird sounds from waves in TripleOscillator??????
In this track I used audiofile processor to work on sample - I cut the one second and play on it in piano-roll in this fragment from 1.58 m.
Unfortunately, I did not have opportunity to acknowledged myself with TripleOsc yet. Is it good for the experimental wave music? I have tried to find on YT some cool stuff with TripleOsc but all I found is that people use it to make some acid chords (it all sounded a bit cheesy to me...)
