The Little Things That Keep Me Going (92% done) [m.dubstep]

Just some percussion/effect edits to make and then it's done. :) So happy to finally be back to making some good, finished music for a change. This was my first true venture into the realm of melodic dubstep, so I welcome all the input people are willing to give.

Lol, after listening to the track of JamesCline, I feel a little more pink ... Shit, I remember that I'm single. It's hard to listen, good one  .

Took me a bit to figure out what you mean by "feel a little more pink" haha.

D.Ipsum, the general emotion I wanted to convey in the song is hope, brightness, and the start of something new. The last few months have been nothing but hell in my life, and that carried through in a non-LMMS track I did called Malitae et Irae (link below). There was so much hatred, chaos and overall negative emotions in that track. Around the start of this year, I made a ton of drastic changes in my life to make it easier. That's where the heart of the song came from. The sun always is gonna come back out.

Just look for the good and you'll see light all around.

Malitae and Irae speak to me too, it sounds like a fusion of genres, very synthetic, very expressive. Happy that the sun has come back to warm you up. Do you use multiple software?

(by "feel a little more pink", lol, it's my princess side ... ) (Shit! What did I write :o )

Yeah, after In Noctem, I started using FL Studio in tandem with LMMS. Above Us (with Pankakez) and Malitae et Irae are the only ones at the moment that are pure FL Studio though.

I also have a FL license, but I feel more comfortable with LMMS. I do not yet have a working method on FL. You seem to manage it well.

It's very reminiscent of how I originally was making music in LMMS, so it came easier. Creating automation clips is my least favorite part about it. But the two DAWs integrate surprisingly well. Granted I've never finished an LMMS/FL unison yet. Mostly cause I ran into issues with LMMS 1.1.3. Right now I'm using an RC5 build of LMMS that the devs wanted tested with VSTs I owned.

Yes, LMMS still has the reputation of FL clone, the transition from one to the other is relatively easy. I'm still on LMMS 1.1.3, I should make the jump to the last RC.
