DnB + Synthwave Part 2

I took a break from schoolwork to finish the third dnb/synthwave track I was working on...and then felt inspired and ended up creating a fourth lol. So here are not one, but two more songs that are part of my combination dnb/synthwave exploration.

This one is pretty heavily inspired by synthwave and synthpop:

This one was my first attempt at making liquid dnb, so it leans much more towards being a dnb track, but I tried to incorporate synthwave style synths into it to keep it in line with my current production style.

slingshot: Is a good sounding synthwave tune.
Strangely, something about it, especially the start up intro part, from 0 to 1:24 secs
reminds me of an 80's tune, my parents listened to, called "Lady in red."
I was never a fan of that adult song, but the music in that tune, was kinda lovely though. :)

better-than-this: Okay. The kick sound, needs to sound a bit more stronger.
The warping pads, do a heavy amount of justice to this track and makes the tune
sound really amazingly mesmerizing. 8-) :)
The entire track, sounds like a tune, playing in a futuristic club lounge, with lots of neon lights.
This one sounds really cool though. :D

Haha I see what you mean when you said it sounded like Slingshot. Or, more accurately, Slingshot sounded like it. :P
Nice!

On Slingshot, I find the sidechain (synth/kick) a little too pronounced, and I think it does not work well with the 1/8 note.

Better Than This works well.
