Hip-Hop Beat in 5/4 Time

5/4 is a relatively normal time. this beat is a special type of difficult.

well what key is it in?
listening to it, i find it pretty difficult to place it on any one thing, but the drums and piano feels very erratic. maybe it makes more sense looking at the midi notes

No idea what key it's in. I never concern myself with that. The drums i had placed at points that seemed kinda random. The piano parts stay pretty consistent, considering that they never stop playing up until that bridge in 15/8.

then there u go. even when you play by ear, it's still pretty important to have your melodies and sometimes drums in key. plus, drums are there for the specific purpose of staying in a rhythm
