Under pressure ?
I wonder if you know it, and it is really strange if its not in a Bowie-movie collection. It is not just a song in that movie, it is simply The Theme, all through the film!

So CiT in Am goes: cc d--- cc d---- ff g---- cc d----
Bowie goes: c--- d--- f---- d---- g-----
All the same notes as in CiT!
Surely now... :p
Surely not LOL

I am smiling, and singing in my head cit, still no clue.

Also wondering if I saw that movie. :D

Also been trying sonic visualizer. Great program, but its not that easy to get a useful picture, from it.

There are so many plugins though. Found one that tells the chords played.

Probably needs getting used too, I am searching for the piano sound of the second part.
I have something its in scale with the bassline, but would like some confirmation on the notes.
Maybe its just the piano vst causing it, but that second part for now sound very unlike the original.
That usual indicates something is wrong.

Me too : Cat People
Song: "Putting out Fire"

But remember that the interesting thing is, that the notes are those for CiT, just different order and length

Amazing!

Yes i can hear it too, something clever with an overtone or similar
I might have seen the piano notes, with sonic visualizer, I am starting to get a bit used to that program.

You have two zoom buttons, and also two dials, one that adds more color and a second one adding more contrast.

Zoom in on the width of the spectrum is very usefull, and also the knob adding more color. (saturation is what its probably called)

It confirms my spacing is right, also for the second part and my note pattern for the second part also seems right.

I can still be using the wrong notes though, but I am on the right track.

Some parts of the spectrum are a bit confusing, I see a pattern like the piano roll in lmms, but at some part I hear a higher note, and the spectrum does not seem to reflect it. :o

Its very possible that I need to do some more adjusting in the program, the notes it seem to miss are shorter.

I also saw something that made me wonder if they used a sampler, for the piano sound.
Some notes at a certain point in the song, I think I see note starting and then again.

around 3.26 in

Wil be interesting to try that in lmms. Two tracks ? one a bit behind ?
Or a stutter vst :P
Small step forward.

Second piano part and the bassline.

While listening to the original at a lower speed I noticed something. Before the real loop starts there are three notes.

Then it 3 times 3 notes, and a pause same size as the pause after the first 3 notes.

Because the bass line goes EEE EEE GGG AAA The first EEE is now were the piano pauses.
Before my bassline Played AAA, when the piano paused.

As far as I can tell, the beassline does not change from first to second part. I also listened to that at a slower speed.

Using this vst for the bassline now.

This puts a big smile to my face, lets call it a remix.

I know nothing, I am from Barcelona. :P

Instead of a cover this its turning in to a remix :) ( there are worst ways of getting famous and or sued )

Fist part of Kraze is right, not sure if its still right after the base kicks in, need to listen to that part some more.

I already might have something original to add to the track.

A minor complaint , pun intended, while trying to cover this track , I noticed LMMS sounding too good. :P

To be continued..

I like it you nailed the rytm, and i like the bass!
I have moved the hit to 2. beat:

Where did you get the vocal from?

Aaaand did you or did you not know Bowie's Cat-people?
I got the vovals from this, Kraze must have intended us to do remixes. :P

You tube to mp3, mp3 to ogg vorbis, insert into lmms. 122 bpm. ( might need reverb, on the: Were here ! part )

Interesting what you did with moving that hit, need to do some studying on what you did exactly, I very much like how it sounds though. In some way it sounds better then mine.

One thing I do have is a track we can almost not hear, hi hats, fast. ( that adds some swing )

I am pretty sure I have seen cat people, don't ask what it was about though, but that musical piece I do not recognize :)
I will probably watch the movie again. Still it has a weird familiar feeling to it, the music peace.

I am lost on what you did, but you gave me an idea anyway.

If I use synth 1 , I won't have the problem, my piano not sounding like the original.

I seem to have allot of trouble with second part, I don't like how it sounds at all, using synth1 there to replace the piano seems to sound much better.
