Hello,

i'm currently working on a trance (goa) project (or close to)

But i am to a point where i don't know anymore what sounds good and what is not
(you know when you have heard something again and again it's not clear anymore)

My goal is to bring it to 8 minutes but i don't known what direction to take, and what part should
i review.

So i could use your advises

Okay, you really have a good track here. And it's not bad at all.
But there are a few things, that can be improved.

Tips:

The melodies in this track, sound really soft, like if they are in the background.
Raise up the volume, of the melodies a bit more.

The synth sound melody, from 1:54 to 2:24 secs, faded out too fast.
My suggestion, is to start the fade out earlier, and make it last a bit longer.

This track also needs, some good volume balancing, and a bit of mixing and mastering.
Because some instruments and sounds, sound louder and stand out more, than others.

But overall, you did some nice work so far dude.

Yeah i always have balancing issue, i find it really hard to be statisfying on both speakers and headphones.
I would like to know at what percentage of volume you usually put the kick, mine is at 50%.

Anyway i will remaster it before continuing the song.

I would like to know at what percentage of volume you usually put the kick, mine is at 50%.

It varies, according to the tune you're making, and number of instruments in it.
When I put an equalizer on my kick, I usually have my volume, slightly above
or below 50%.

If I put the volume of my kick below 50%, it's because of the bass sound.
Why? Because bass sounds and kicks, have a tendency to make the decibels, raise up by alot
which can cause clipping and noise. Worse, if they both play together, at around the same time.

Anyway i will remaster it before continuing the song.
