Finished a track, but ended up with two versions that I like

The problem is that they're not wildly different that I could consider two separate tracks. From a production standpoint and ambient listening standpoint, which would you say is the better version? Alright then. This is V1. Done entirely in lmms. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lfBRQ1 ... p=drivesdk
And this is v2. A little eqing was done in soundbridge. This version has more of an emphasis on the crackling in the song. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CMspLE ... p=drivesdk
Both versions include a sample of an obscure shounen anime.

Okay:
The intro in V1, sounds way better, than the intro in V2.
And V1, seems to be a bit more clearer, than V2.

Both versions need some good mastering though.
How would you go about mastering? I never knew what mastering actually meant.

Mastering is alot of things. :D

It means making sounds in your track, sound clearer.

Volume balancing.

Preventing sounds from clipping. Clipping is when sounds are so loud,
that they sound distorted, noisy, they crackle and sound really unpleasant. :P

Making sounds sound stronger etc.
