Genre-wise, how would one classify this?

I love the opening, might want to tone down a bit on the bass and drums. Those literally come out of nowhere, so it was a bit of a surprise after all of the lovely smooth chords. Maybe some sort of build up and ease into the heavy bass. Then again, that's just my preference. If you want it as a kind of effect, then that's fine. Maybe a bit of warning.

As for genre, I would definitely place this as trap music. The beat and bass are very heavy, which is very typical of the genre.

This sounds like a mix of drum and bass, trap, ambient and synthwave music.

I think the bass, should be a bit more wider, boomyer and a bit more pronounced though.
But it's almost there, which is a good thing.

I will admit, I like the synthwave parts in this tune alot. And the ambient parts, really add alot to this tune too. It adds a hauntingly, cool feel and atmosphere to this tune, that's undescribeable and difficult to put in words.
