First Song

Hello everyone,
Some of you may remember me as the author from the recent "Help for a Beginner" post.
Since then I have written parts of my first project and I would like your opinions regarding how to make it better.
I would like to pose my song as an attachment (as in shown here : https://i.imgur.com/dbL1sAC.png), but sadly I see "Poll creation" instead of "Upload attachment" so here I am with my brand-new soundcloud account.

It's a work in progress, in particular there are three parts :
1) The intro + background which I really like
2) The melody, which I find OK. I would like to improve it though
3) The transition (what you hear at the very end). OK.
I would love advice on :
a) How to make my melody better, maybe also suggestions of LMMS instruments that would sound better than what I have
b) How to make a good transition between the "melody" and the "transition". You can very clearly hear a clear divide between both parts and I would like to make it better. If possible, I would keep the piano for the melody and the bass for the transition, but this may be a big part as to why going from the melody to the transition doesn't sound good.
