Twisty’s Piano: New Music Track

Share and discuss your LMMS music projects here, and see what people think!
A piano track that takes some of the feedback from my previous one (Jazzy Orchestra), and applies it to this one:

For this track, I wanted something that starts very simple but gets progressively more complex over time. You might be able to notice that while listening to this track.
I really like the progression - the track is very melodic :D

A few things - maybe layer the drums, so that they have more depth. Also, I don't know if you were going for this a more synth feel, if you were, it sounds great like that, but the strings don't sound natural - I suggest using a string plugin like DSK Strings or other (do some research!).

Thanks for the feedback. I'll definitely look into that plugin you just mentioned, and I think maybe equalizing or changing the note velocity of the drums in certain parts could help in the layering. Glad you enjoyed it! :)

Wow! Nice track Twisty.
I like the melodies in this one. Especially the piano melodies.
hey how many tracks do you use when you are making a beat.....and also how may notes do you try to typically use?

also, do you change the beat when you are doing a "break"?

thirdly what is a good place to learn the formats of a song?

check this out what would you do to make it more modern, and also more of a music format?

Sorry about the late response. Here's an answer to each of your questions:

1. In terms of the tracks and notes, I usually don't think about it that much. I generally use the amount that I feel would fit the kind of music track that I am making. If you want to learn how many notes, and tracks that I used to make Twisty's Piano, a midi download has been provided below:

file:///C:/Users/owens/Downloads/Piano%20SOS.mid (just copy and paste this in your browser)

2. Sometimes I change the beat of the track if I'm doing a break, and sometimes I don't. For this track, the beat changes a lot (most noticeably the percussion), but this is something I don't typically do in a lot of my tracks.

3. A good place to learn the formats of a song is to look up midi files, import them into Lmms, and see how many notes, tracks, and effects those specific composers used to make the track in question. The source I typically use to download these files is Kh-Insider (https://www.khinsider.com/midi), but if you type in your favorite song and put .midi after it, your bound to find other results.

4. I clicked on the link for the track you mentioned, and it doesn't seem to be working. Did somebody remove it?
yes, I removed it after I was scorned about posting to others post and how the beat and chords were offbeat and off-key....so I took it down. but I will repost........i think I have fixed the errors but I don't think my ears are that good to hear where its missing, tried using a metronome to put it back on the beat so hopefully, that works and I also fixed the chords in rework so that they would match up with the song...

Overall, I like - nice development and variation over the song, but a few things to suggest

The rap is very offbeat - use a metronome and redo that, especially at the start.
Also, there's not much in the very low and very high requencies - a professional mix has sounds in all frequencies (it sound way fuller like that) - add a bass and maybe some space pluck type sound (or high piano, maybe - matches the vibe, i dunno, your mix)
It would be nice if the track had some snares, or some other type of low drum sound - just that one kick is not enough.
Lastly, layer the drums
