I completely forgot about this old tune, your cover really brought back memories

I found some minor parts a little difficult to listen to but overall enjoyable to hear
good job +1
thank you, can you elaborate on hard to listen?

Wow! Now that sounds like a good score. :)
Chocolate Leche, with extra sweety Chocolatey goodness.
Wrd.
thank you.
maybe its my ears, but i hear disharmonics -would you let me look at the file?
Yes would like that very much. Because I think I will learn from it.
There might be some notes of which I think hmmm, but they seem to be in scale. ( at least I think so )

I will add a few of the midi tracks. Because the midi file is were I got the key from. :)

I know the bassline has out of scale notes though.

I hope the link works ?

All other's who want to have a look too, go ahead.
:/ this is not easy..
@gps, im really impressed that you have manged to get the syncopation in the lead so perfect. Not sure i would

The only thing i know for sure now, is that this is in G-minor. I have a lead that to me sounds right, in G-minor
OBS
NOT natual or melodic minor, JUST 'minor' !

I have also made a second inversion of all chords, and also some chord compression
so im here

i dont know if i will fight this earsnack much more, its not at all as amusing as it sounds....
I think i will give the pads a try in Gm, just not sure when :p
Thank you, and that soundcloud file sounds perfect.

And I had to google syncopation, but this does answer some of my popcorn confusing.

I do not understand the position of some notes, especially some variations I did. But syncopation does explain to me why.
They are of beat.
How can something sounding so simple, be so hard LOL

I am also happy I am doing it right in lmms, although I think, I do hear what you are on about. :)
So my musical hearing has improved a lot. You had me worried, for a bit, although I always want honest replies.
No need to spare my feelings, I learn from criticism, and although its nice if somebody like you're tune, you do not learn anything from that.

I might have a look myself, see if in G minor I have out of scale notes. Or maybe that scale gives me some options to move notes to spots were they do sound better. My ears are not 100% happy about my variation in the arpeggio part.
Now I'm really confused...which part do we think is in G minor ? Most of the tune is full of B natural and F sharp notes and there ain't no B or F# in the key of G minor. G major perhaps ?

Steve
@slipstick ..ya, but no scale will fit
I think i have the first 36 bars now

The rollbass eludes me..... :/

(know the piano is too dominant, but i made it so to emphasis the shifts with the pad(s)

@ musicbear I had the exact same problem, that midi file does not fit any scale. The closest was I think Dorian.

I used this vid and the midi file.
Bassline slightly different in the midi file, I used the one from the vid. Both examples are as far as I get it in B.
