Hello, I am entering this song into a competition. It doesn't have a title yet, but the rubric said it should be energetic and upbeat.

Any feedback or criticism are appreciated. This is my first "real" song that uses VSTs and samples. Some feedback I've already received from my music instructor was to add more acoustic or natural sounds in and to add a bass sound in the beginning to complete the spectrum.

Nice track. You have managed to make a good mix, and you have very nice and balanced effects! Also, you have no dB-clipps. It is a quite short track. Is that stated in the rules? If not, some kind of breakdown and buildup would be good.
The one thing i thought was bass. Its like something in low Hz is missing. Look in a spectral analyzer, i dont think you have a lot low.
The instruments. Have you equalized them?

That will give you more depth.

Thanks! The rules state that the song must be between 1 minute to 3 minutes, and the competition is in a couple of days. And yes, I completely agree with the fact that I'm missing some low sounds. I've been thinking about adding a sort of bass guitar riff to fill the gap.

Also, I have not equalized any of the instruments. Sorry if I have broken a cardinal sin of some sort by not doing so already. But on the bright side, I now plan on equalizing them in a little bit. Thanks for the video! It was very informing.
