Hello,
I am Jay Sarma. I've been using LMMS since like 3 months from now, but I've been a musician since long before tho.
Its that, when I go through the LMMS Sharing Platform, I download EVERYTHING that's posted there, to learn, and to listen. Some stuff are generally underproduced, some are perfectly crafted, and some are uncredited but copied work of others lol.
Whenever something touches my mind, I always want to create a remix of it. Always. Even the underproduced stuff, I try and make it sound perfect and post it with suitable credit.
Now here's the problem - I always like to be on the legal side of the global rules, so I don't (and I will not) create a remix without the Artist's permission. Here's where the problem pops up. Sometimes the name's are so unique, I can't even find them on Google, Facebook, others. (for eg - a search with "Jay Sarma" or "jaysarma987" on Google points exactly to me). So I don't just know where to ask permissions to. Even if I do find them, its a hard work to hunt for them and find each one and seek permission.
So this is a request post I've putting here (sorry if its the wrong section, I'm new to the forums, this is my first post). The request is, if you like me being creating remixes of your hardwork and posting it (with suitable credit of you artists, always), can you please comment here and say something like 'I don't mind'? A single comment, and I'll know the people who commented here would have no problems with any remix created. Then I'll just gonna grab the .mmpz (or Soundcloud too if you didn't share the .mmpz) and try and reedit it, without stressing myself googling you.
Hope you get the grip
