Sf2 and 16 MIDI-channel routing in HW-keyboards

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
OK, I set things up so that if I solo an instrument, I hear only that instrument. so, for now that's progress.

Here's how I set things up:

Using the gear on the left side, I set each inst. to my UR-22 for input, and output I set to the inst name (flute, oboe etc).

Then, on each instance of the sf2 player, I have, under the midi section, I enabled midi input, with no channel selected.
Then I enabled midi output, but with the channel specified (flute=1, oboe=2 etc).

If anyone has any ideas on where to go from here, if things can still be improved, feel free. Perfection would be, I select an inst. and I hear only that inst when I play my keyboard.

Again, I appreciate all the help.

So this one

But...
It has heaps of adv. buttons, and he especially mentions MIDI-channel setup
I think you need to read your user-guide for your kb :)
No, that's not it. It didn't come with a manual. I think the guy at the music store sold me his old, unwanted keyboard.

I just looked again at the info on the keyboard itself. It says "Master Keyboard by Fatar." But the actual name is Studio 49. Sorry I wasn't better informed (Gee, I've only had it for 20 years...). And yes, it has no controls, only a power button. but it does send midi in 16 channels. Doesn't send all midi messages, such as chorusing, but I don't use that anyway. It is velocity-sensitive, however. So, not really a bad board, just a simple one.

Here's the manual: http://www.synthmanuals.com/manuals/fat ... dio_49.pdf

And the thing itself: https://www.gbase.com/gear/fatar-studio-49-1990-blue

Mine is a lovely beige, tinted with coffee stains. It does not have the assignable button, however...
OK, so at this point, I have Aria Player and sforzando both working, playing GPO insts. What I'm now wondering is, can I use one, or a few, instances of Aria or sforzando, and somehow route the instruments to them, or do I need one instance of Vestige/Aria per inst?
