Piano Roll question

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
How can I increase the granularity of the grid? I have already run into things (Fats Domino bass line) that 16 per bar can't cut it. I needed 32 per bar to get the right notes lengths (3/32, 5/32 and 13/32 of a bar). To get that, I had to set the signature to 8/4 and change the tempo. Not the ideal way to do it, but I don't see an alternative. Have I missed something?

granularity of the grid is also known as Quantification or Q-value

It is often a benefit, to use a higher Magnification or Zoom in connection to granular Q

Q as well as Zoom are featured in all editors!

Besides that, since you are new in Forum

Thanks for the help, however...
The functionality is hard to find (not intuitive) since changing the Q value (or Zoom), does not visibly change the grid divisions. The visual grid lines stay the same no matter if the Q value is 1/8 or 1/16 or 1/32. You still have 16 lines per bar. I see now that I can enter 2 32nd notes in the single grid space (of 16 to the bar) if I make Q 32. I read the manual. It wasn't very helpful. Quantization usually deals with input from real time sources. Since the grid doesn't visibly change as one changes Q value, it appears to have no direct relationship to the grid.

If I hadn't ask here, I would have never figured it out.
