Zynaddsubfx MIDI control

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hi all.

Has anyone here got experience of using MIDI controllers with the Zynaddsubfx plugin? Just exactly what is, and what is not, controllable?

It seems that an upgraded version called Yoshimi is able to accept many more controllers than the original Zynaddsubfx, so I wonder if it's possible to install Yoshimi into LMMS, alongside or replacing Zynaddsubfx?

or am I talking muchos crapolata?

regards
A fast count would suggest possibly 1 or 2 knobs missing (have to dig in the source to be sure), but most of what is easily doable is in LMMS:
http://zynaddsubfx.sourceforge.net/doc_3.html

All those NRPNs mentioned in the document depend on what's defined in whatever preset is loaded in Zyn, so they would be a bit more difficult to use.

Yoshimi might be a way forward, but AFAIK OSC and MIDI control of all knobs has been reecntly added to Zyn as well.
Thanks for that speedy and most helpful reply.

It seems that ZYN is similar to the Soundblaster MIDI listing.

I did not know ZYN now has MIDI control of all knobs! Must do a reinstall.

Cheers.

To make this 100% clear, I'm talking about the original Zynaddsubfx, not the one in LMMS (that's a few years old). And I'm not sure how far away that feature is from a proper release, either. But hints have been dropped:

fyi. current P.r. out for tests, has no zyn midi support. (and is btw borked)
thanks everyone. Apologies for my delay in replying.

Raekman: I am glad you pointed out the facts re the installed plug in vs the standalone version.

Yoshimi is a very awesome app. I was toying with it and it even has midi key flip on it and allows for scale files. I want to learn more about it. I had a similar idea uses alsa to keyflipD on center D. tiny.cc/mpmmm and tiny.cc/MPMMM I want to edit the source of Yoshimi.

If I could use it with LMMS for recording that would be great. Perhaps It can output to audacity easier and import the .wav data to LMMS.

I want a splicifier for LMMS splice to beat -user would press beat tracker buttons and audio file will auto splice or cut to those marker positions. Cool Edit Pro or Adobe Audition let me use markers and looping it was great also could do zero second CD gap and blend track 1 and 2 together.
