How do I change screen or font size?

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
After installing LMMS, this is what the screen looks like.
I can not find any way to increase the size of the windows and text so that I can use it.
Please help. There may be a config file that I can edit, but I just don't know.
Thanks,
Bill

What exactly are you trying to resize... the application window, or the subwindows inside the application...?

The application window can be resized the same way other windows are resized in your operating system.

The subwindows are resized the same way windows usually are, by dragging them from a corner.

You're also using an old version of LMMS, there's a much newer and much better version 1.0 available.
Hi diiz, thanks for the response.
I am trying to actually change the sub-window inside the application. I expect that it would be better if I said the font in the application. I can increase the window size using either the full screen icon in the title bar or I can grab a side and increase, however, the font size all stays the same as it was when minimized.
the font and the icons are so small that I cannot read them to know what I am selecting.

I also built and installed the new version 1.0 and the same thing is happening.

Well, when it comes to font sizes, these are things defined in the theme. LMMS supports custom themes, by default it uses the default theme that comes with LMMS.

The theme is written as a css stylesheet, it's named style.css and is in the theme directory (/usr/share/lmms/themes/default if I remember correctly). If you know CSS, changing the font sizes should be easy... if not, well, I think it's pretty easy to figure out regardless.

At the moment, we don't provide a large-font theme by default, although that's definitely something that could possibly be implemented in the future.
Thanks diiz,
I found the css and will work on it over the next few days.
I cannot use the program as it is as I cannot see or read the info.
Also, there are trails on my mouse in piano roll making it unusable as the trails cover about everything.
If I can figure it out, I will post my CSS here for anyone else who has trouble.
Thanks again,
bill

Trails in the piano roll is caused by you using an old theme (0.4.15 or older) in 1.0. Older themes are not supported in 1.0.

You need to go to the settings and clear the "artwork directory" then restart LMMS. This will cause LMMS to use the default theme it's shipped with.

i think that also will change your general viewing to the better. Im sight impaired, and i raised several issue in the design-phase of 1.0, and it was improved quite a lot. It is however important that you report back on this. Your lmms 1.0 should have the look and feel as in this video:

If you cant get that in the way diiz told you, do a complete deinstall, dl from off. page, and reinstall. That will do it.
In my computer it looks like this:
