Record midi with external keyboard

I NEVER 've been able to trigger ANY of MIDI activity on LMMS though it
shows that the item is connected (Midi Keybord nor APC 25 AKAI)

Have you followed the guide?

If you have, then you could have a defect cable, or one or more connectors could be damaged (?)
Very hard to say, without inspecting the HW, im afraid

AKAI has broad success, so i doubt its your KB (?)

Ok i 've plug the APC 25 keyboard BEFORE opening up LMMS
and now it works (only with Midi ch 2 (? why 2 ...but whatever )
Now the big problem is the latency...much too long.Of course
i can make correction afterwards,but it's not possible to play music that way

So what are your latency-settings? here:

in picture latency is set to 46.4ms
Experiment with that value, and see if your HW will allow you to chose a better value. It solely depends om your HW.

Thxx again for answering so promptly. Of course i've tried with all
latency scale possible...it doesn't change. Worst ,it create cracks
and noises. So i 'll stick to the longest so my sounds are clean
and forget about playin' Midi. If only i could synchronize LMMS
with soft or hardware equipment,that 'll make my day. Regards
