I Want to change input note to differ

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I have two plugins that I want to play simultaneoisly, a bass drum and snare. But they take input from the same C2 key on my controller so they can't be separated. I noticed that they take an input signal at a different (lower) octave outside LMMS in another vst host program,

So I could get a different key for both, so I got to thinking it would be good to do this anytime I want. How can I use LMMS to change just one midi input to take its input from a lower key on the controller?

Dont have a controller, but you should be able to choose the MIDI channel in the MIDI-tab : https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=Using_MIDI
But i wonder what would happen, if you simply chooses a base-note

in a different octave?

Well, itis funny that it used the word "orange" in the wiki over that base-note suggestion, but I can't get moving the green to make any effect. i tried it because that's just what I thought. Maybe there is some problem with my LMMS ability to refresh it's base-note at this prompt. Any ideas?
It sounds like you are asking for a MIDI transpose and filter function. I,e, if you play a note on the keyboard, say A2 then the plugin on one track sees a C2 instead but when you play a C2 note that doesn't get through to that particular track at all. Is that correct?

There certainly are DAWs that can do that but I don't think LMMS can. You need to be able put functions in between the MIDI input and the instrument and that's not something LMMS seems to allow.
