Is it possible to isolate part of a tune for a loop?

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I know you can set a section of the project you're working on to loop from the beginning, but I'd like the loop to start somewhere in the middle. Basically what I'm trying to do is to get a certain section to repeat over and over so I can jam out on the keyboard and get used to improvising without constantly having to reset the counter, before I actually lay down a track.

I don't think I've ever read about a way to do this, but almost every time I put something on the suggestion board I end up finding out that what I've suggested is already a feature, so I thought I'd try here first. If there is no way to do what I'm trying to do then I'll post this in the suggestions.
In LMMS 1.1.3

In the Song Editor toolbar, there is the loop playback markers (two triangles that look like a bow tie).

With the mouse wheel, you click in the bar of measures to define the point of departure.
With the right click, you define the end of the loop.
