A non-project now popping up in "Recently opened projects"

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I've been using LMMS for years (versions 1.1.0, 1.1.3, and sometimes 1.2.0; the different versions have their different strengths and weaknesses). Because I have hundreds of LMMS projects, and am always working on different projects simultaneously, the "Recently opened projects" list is an important feature for me.

A new thing just started happening, the past 2 or 3 weeks. Now, every time I open 1.1.0, it automatically adds a non-project file to my "Recently opened projects" list. That file is named "C:Program Files/LMMS\data\projects/templates/default.mpt", and its addition to the list knocks one of my real Recently opened projects off the list. Then I have to look through all my hundreds of projects and try to figure out which one got knocked off the list. This is a bad thing.

Anybody know how to fix this?

Windows 7

Thanks in advance!

Sure, you ned to edit the dot-file:
C:\Users\Username\.lmmsrc.xml

.lmmsrc.xml is the configuration of all important settings. You do need a proper code-editor, and do ned not to make mistakes!
I will do it for you is you are uncertain around code PM me.

The solution is to use lmms-1.2 where this is fixed.
