how to link vst effects? (SOLVED)

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I am now ready to use lmms in a 'professional' caliber; but I seem to be having difficulty. I have found several vst instruments, and also some vst effects; My problem is that I've no idea how to link an instrument to a vst effect! I'm fully aware about the ladspa effects, but the effects that I want to use are vst! Any/all help appreciated.

Edit zonkmachine: Problem solved. Locked.
OK, I think I found the problem... It appears that lmms is not capable of checking file sub-directories when looking for loadable vst effects. :/

So you're trying to use the Vst's and Vst effects in Lmms? I hope I understood correctly. :)

Okay: You'll have to use Lmms' Vestige plugin, as the host, to bring in the Vst's.
This is vestige plugin: https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=VeSTige

And this info, teaches you, how to load the Vst's into Lmms.

Also, welcome to the lmms forums Mr. Engino. :)
What version of lmms are you working with?

Your issue could be the actual VST-effect.
LMMS will use ~85% of all VST-instrument, so in that function LMMS is very capable.
The usage of VST-effects, is unfortunately almost 180 dg different.
Effects are supported to ~20% of those available for dl *sigh*
That is however fast being changed! Upcoming release is simply better, when it comes to VST-effect support! :'D
You need to read this:
http://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=Wor ... t_VST_test
and make sure your effect will pass the test!
-And as zM says: The LMMS-version is crucial! -So is the OS! -MAC is not supported at all!

I already figured out the problem; lmms is not capable of reading subdirectories in the specified vst folder. And yes, I do know how to use vst plugins, I was only having issues with getting the effect plugins to show up in the list.

We have more than one branch going on at the same time so 'the latest' is a bit ambiguous.

We're working on the next stable release, lmms-1.2.0, and the latest beta is: lmms-1.2.0-rc5.
https://lmms.io/download/#windows
We now have a developer working on the VST side so it would be helpful if you could take rc5 for a spin and see if you get this issue there too.

When I said the latest, I meant the latest stable version.
Also, I already solved the problem; lmms does not (yet) support folder subdirectories in the designated vst folder when looking for usable vst plugins.
