Lmms wont accept .mid file

lmms does not want to accept a .mid file, I put the .mid file in a folder named Midi and the .mid file is not their but when I go to "recently created files" it shows the .mid file so lmms cant see the file and my laptop cant how do I play the .mid in lmms then?

No you do that wrong. Recent-files are lmms files only!
To use midi, you need to import the file:
Menu : File | Import
You then browse to the folder with the midi-files
